Northwest career college was managing their Google Ads campaign using one of the leading Las Vegas digital marketing agency. They had come to feel disappointed because the cost per conversion was getting higher. These are the issues they were facing. 

  • They were getting traffic with a very high cost per click.
  • Still, the traffic quality was terrible; as a result, the conversion rate was affected. The average cost per conversion was $108 in December 2017
  • No retargeting was being used to get the repeated visitors

Campaign Goal

I have addressed the specific issues Northwest Career College had been experiencing and created the following list of goals to achieve for them.

  1. Restructure the whole Google Ads account from scratch that mimics the website structure – this allowed me to create a highly targeted search ads campaign using SKAGs strategy.
  2. Install the conversion tracking properly to measure the performance of every element of the account. 
  3. To reduce to cost per conversion by 30 percent. After auditing the campaigns, we know we could reduce the cost by at least 40-50%.
  4. Significantly increase the ROAS; currently, the ROAS was negative.

As a PCC Strategist, here’s what I did to take action towards meeting those goals.

  2. By gearing the ads to focus on high buying intent keywords for the main programs of Northwest career college, I was able to maximize the ROI.
  3. I was able to set up targeting solutions that advertised their primary services within the last vegas, where their main campus is located, and the majority of their students live.
  4. Call, and Conversion tracking tools were installed on the site to monitor the ROI from the campaigns. I also maintained a monitoring plan with Google analytics to further improve performance.

Within one month, I was able to consistently bring in a high amount of leads and managed to decrease the cost of acquiring such leads by 50%.
